Our Story Established in 1981, Kenneth E. Hurd & Associates has created unique interiors for a variety of world-class luxury hotels and resorts, senior living facilities, clubhouses and significant high-end residences. The most recognizable among these have been signature properties such as the original Waldorf=Astoria in New York, the Plaza and Inter*Continental Hotels in New York, and the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. In addition, the firm was responsible for the interior architecture and design of the Statler Inn at the prestigious Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Recognized as a leader in the hospitality industry, Ken has been the recipient of numerous honors, the most notable of which are the Platinum Circle Award for Lifetime Achievement from Hospitality Design Magazine and two awards from the New York Landmarks Conservancy for his efforts in the historic preservation of the Waldorf=Astoria. More recently, Ken is also bringing the firm's sense of timeless design and personal attention to retail, religious and residential properties, whether classic or contemporary, new construction or renovation. Creating custom homes and spaces that offer gracious living by holistically integrating architecture, interiors and furnishings, the firm continues its legacy in providing thoughtful, innovative and timeless high-end design, adding both tangible and intangible value to our clients' overall well-being.
